President Paudel discharged from hospital

President Ramchandra Paudel has been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment for prostate problem.

The Head of the State was admitted to the TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj last Wednesday. He underwent prostate surgery.

Officiating Executive Director at TU Teaching Hospital, Ghanshyam Gurung, issued a statement today and informed that President Paudel was discharged after getting recovery on Saturday afternoon. His health is normal.
BRI is in national interest, former PM Khanal says
Senior leader of CPN (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has argued that China forwarded Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was in the national interest.

Talking to the media at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) upon completion his week-long trip to China, Khanal said that BRI would be supportive for Nepal’s physical infrastructure development.

He was of the view that implementation of the BRI projects should not be delayed now.

NPL: Sudurpaschim Royals secure 3rd consecutive win

Sudurpaschim Royals have claimed their third consecutive win in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament.

In today’s match at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Sudurpaschim Royals defeated Lumbini Lions by 45 runs.

Chasing a target of 188 set by Sudurpaschim, Lumbini was bowled out for 142 runs in 20 overs, losing 9 wickets.

NPL: Karnali Yaks edge past Biratnagar Kings by 7 runs

Karnali Yaks secured a thrilling victory over Biratnagar Kings in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Saturday.

Karnali Yaks claimed their second consecutive win with an outstanding performance from Nandan Yadav, whose economical bowling played a key role in the triumph.

Biratnagar lost to Karnali by 7 runs in the second match on Saturday.

Gagan Thapa objects to Shekhar Koirala faction’s gathering in Biratnagar

Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa has expressed objections to a local-level assembly organized by Dr. Shekhar Koirala’s faction in Biratnagar ahead of the Koshi Province Congress Committee’s provincial conference.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the first Koshi Province Congress conference on Saturday, Thapa criticized the assembly held on December 3 by the Koirala faction, which brought together municipal presidents from the province.

The event was coordinated by the Congress’ Biratnagar Metropolitan Committee.
