Dr Lama urges Buddhist scholars to visit Lumbini

KATHMANDU: Vice Chairman of Lumbini Development Trust Dr Lharkyal Lama has urged the Buddhist scholars to visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha.

Addressing the First Asian Buddhist Summit-2024 held in New Delhi of India, Dr Lama said the Trust was willing to welcome all Buddhist scholars in Lumbini.

Saying that the messages of Buddha were more relevant to spread the message of the world peace in the present time, Dr Lama stressed the need of such Buddhist Summit and related events.

Likewise, he called for more research on Buddhist philosophy and practices to spread the messages of the world peace and tolerance in the world.
