Sudurpaschim records 38.4% voter turnout by 2:30 pm



KATHMANDU: Voter turnout in Sudurpashchim Province reached 38.4 percent as of 2:30 pm during the House of Representatives election on Thursday.

According to the provincial-level election command post in Dhangadhi, polling has been taking place at all polling centers across the province since 7 am.

Chief of the provincial election office Premraj Bhatt said voting has been proceeding peacefully in all nine districts of the province.

Authorities have also arranged temporary polling centers to allow government employees to vote under the proportional representation system and to facilitate voting by inmates in prisons.
