Nearly 48% voter turnout recorded in Gandaki Province



KATHMANDU: Nearly 48 percent voter turnout has been recorded in Gandaki Province during the ongoing House of Representatives election on Thursday.

According to Chief Secretary Danduraj Ghimire, around 48 percent of voters had cast their ballots across 18 constituencies in 11 districts of the province as of 3:40 pm. He said voting has been taking place enthusiastically in all districts.

Data from the provincial election office in Pokhara shows that Gandaki Province has a total of 1,870,065 registered voters.

Among them, 955,516 are women, 914,535 are men, and 14 are listed under other gender categories.
