UML announces candidates for local level by-election



KIRTIPUR: The CPN-UML has announced its candidates for the upcoming local level by-election, scheduled for next month.

The party’s municipal committee recently recommended Dr. Surendra Manandhar as the candidate for mayor of Kirtipur Municipality, along with Harsha Man Maharjan and Badri Budhathoki as candidates for chairperson of Ward No. 1 and Ward No. 4, respectively, all unopposed.

At a program held today to announce the candidacies, Dr. Manandhar emphasized that people’s representatives should act in line with the sentiments and aspirations of Kirtipur’s residents.

During the event, UML Standing Committee member Rajan Bhattarai, along with other party leaders, underscored the importance of representatives staying connected with the public and engaging in their duties with dedication and sincerity.
