Two killed in road accident

NAWALPUR: A woman and her seven-year-old grandson were killed in a road accident in Bhesakhori, Gaindakot Municipality-10, last night.

The deceased have been identified as Srimaya Manandhar, 55, and her grandson Bishal Shrestha, both residents of the same locality.

Bishal died at the scene, while his grandmother Srimaya succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Bahadur Poudel at the District Police Office, Nawalparasi, they were struck by a passenger bus (Na. Kha. 2525) on the East-West Highway.

The bus has been impounded, and the driver is currently in police custody.
