Meeting of four parliamentary committees taking place today

KATHMANDU: Four parliamentary thematic committees of the Federal Parliament are scheduled to hold their respective meetings today.

These include the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee; the Agriculture, Cooperative and Natural Resources Committee; the Infrastructure Development Committee; and the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee.

The Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee will convene at 11:00 am at Singha Durbar.

The agenda includes discussions on proposed amendments related to legislative arrangements and periodic review of the bill to amend certain Nepal Acts.

Similarly, the Agriculture, Cooperative and Natural Resources Committee will meet at 11:30 am in Singha Durbar.

The focus will be on addressing issues related to agricultural damage caused by wildlife such as monkeys, boars, as well as human-wildlife conflicts involving tigers, bears, and elephants.

The Infrastructure Development Committee will meet at 1:00 pm at Singha Durbar to discuss proposed amendments to the Water Resources Bill, 2081.

Similarly, the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will hold its meeting at 12:30 pm at Singha Durbar.

The agenda includes a discussion on amendments to the School Education Bill, 2080.
