KATHMANDU: In a significant development, the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) has issued diffusion notices against Amala Roka, a key figure implicated in a major gold smuggling case involving 60 kilograms of gold.
The issuance of the notice came on the heels of a recommendation by the National Control Bureau (NCB), as confirmed by Navraj Adhikari, the spokesperson for the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB).
Amala Roka’s involvement in smuggling 60 kilograms and 716 grams of gold from Hong Kong to Kathmandu has brought this case under intense scrutiny by law enforcement agencies, particularly the CIB.
