Over 2,047 voters listed by EC for Jan 25 Elections, most residing in Madhes



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has released the final voter list for the National Assembly election, indicating that 1,498 voters will participate, encompassing 549 members from provincial assemblies, local-level mayors, and deputy mayors.

The majority of voters are in Madhes province, totaling 347, including 107 provincial assembly members and 267 local-level mayor and deputy mayor.

Similarly, Koshi has 367 voters, consisting of 93 provincial assembly members and 274 local-level representatives. In Bagmati, there are 347 voters, comprising 110 provincial assembly members and 237 local-level representatives.

Gandaki counts 230 voters, with 60 provincial assembly members and 170 local-level representatives. Lumbini has 305 voters, including 87 provincial assembly members and 218 local-level representatives.

Likewise, Karnali has 196 voters, with 40 provincial assembly members and 156 local-level representatives, while Sudurpaschim holds 228 voters, comprising 52 provincial assembly members and 176 local-level representatives.

The EC has set the election for 19 National Assembly members for January 25.
