Bhutan King arrives in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck arrived in Kathmandu on Friday morning, leading a 19-member delegation aboard a Druk Air flight.

He was welcomed at Tribhuvan International Airport by Nepal’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Arzu Rana.

During his brief visit, the King is scheduled to meet with political and government officials, as well as visit the historic Boudhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa.

King Jigme will return to Bhutan later today.
