Nepal Bank Ltd contributes Rs 20 million to Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund



KATHMANDU: Nepal Bank Limited has contributed Rs 2o million to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund.

Officials including Chairman of Nepal Bank Board of Directors Dr Chandra Bahadur Adhikari handed over the cheque to the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today.

The bank has provided the assistance for the relief of people affected by floods, landslides and inundation.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli thanked the Bank and suggested investors and industries to provide loans and work strictly against bad loans.

He also urged them to work according to the system and law without any prejudice and favour.

Earlier on Friday, a cheque of Rs 34 million was handed over from various financial institutions to the fund.

Last Monday’s meeting of the Council of Ministers decided to initially deposit one billion rupees in the fund.

The fund continues to receive support from other organizations and individuals.
