Two arrested with fake currency notes



RAUTAHAT: Two individuals were arrested by police last night for possessing 47 counterfeit Nepali 1,000-rupee notes in Chandrapur Municipality-10.

The arrested individuals have been identified as 36-year-old Ramkishor Patel and 40-year-old Santosh Upadhyaya, both residents of Gadhimai Municipality-5.

Police from the Dumariya area police office apprehended them while checking a motorcycle (number BR 55 J 8293) traveling from Chapur to Gaur, where the fake notes were discovered.

Authorities are conducting further investigations into the matter.
