77, including one foreign national, killed in disaster in Kavre

KAVREPALANCHOWK: The recent flash floods in the district have resulted in the deaths of 77 individuals, including one foreign national, while 75 others were injured.

The District Police Office reports that five people remain missing since the disaster occurred a week ago.

Among the deceased are 33 women, 28 men, nine minor boys, and seven minor girls.

In Panauti municipality, 18 people, including eight women, lost their lives, while in Temal Rural Municipality, eight women, three men, and one child perished.

Roshi Rural Municipality reported the deaths of six women, two men, one boy, and three girls. In Bethanchowk, eight men, three women, and one child died, and Mandandeupur saw seven fatalities, including three women.

Assistant Chief District Officer Subas Paudel stated that efforts are ongoing to locate the missing individuals, and relief assistance is being provided to affected families.
