Prachanda tellls probe commission party supported Gen-Z sentiment but not violent acts

KATHMANDU: Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has stated that while his party supported the sentiments behind the Gen-Z protests, it was not involved in any violent activities.

Speaking to the high-level commission led by former Justice Gauri Bahadur Karki, Prachanda also stressed that anyone associated with his party found participating in illegal acts should face appropriate legal action.

Prachanda dismissed social media claims that he was present at the home of his daughter, Ganga Dahal, in Kathmandu, noting that he does not have a residence in the city and lives in a rented house. He further noted that while youth anger was visible on September 8, there were possibilities of both internal and external infiltration in the incidents of September 9.
