KATHMANDU: Gold prices edged lower on Sunday following a peak reached on Friday.

Today, the price of gold decreased by Rs 300 per tola, bringing it to Rs 161,000.

On Friday, it had been trading at Rs 161,300, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Traders.

In contrast, silver prices have risen by Rs 5 per tola, with silver now trading at Rs 1,985, as reported by the Federation.

In the international market, gold was priced at 2,653 US dollars per ounce, according to various agencies.
