PM Oli leaving for New York on Sept. 20



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli is set to embark on his first foreign trip of his third term, heading to the United States.

The Council of Ministers approved the visit on Thursday, authorizing Prime Minister Oli to attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The cabinet meeting confirmed the itinerary for Prime Minister Oli’s trip, which includes participation in the UN General Assembly sessions.

Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to leave for New York on September 20 to deliver his address.

He is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly on September 26.

This will be PM Oli’s first foreign visit after he assumed office as the PM.

Accompanying the Prime Minister will be a diverse team comprising his wife, Radhika Shakya; Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba; Chief Advisor Bishnu Rimal; Personal Physician Dr. Divya Singh; and Principal Private Secretary Rajesh Bajracharya.

The delegation also includes Foreign Ministry Secretary Sewa Lamsal; Joint Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai; among others.
