KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu-Terai-Madhesh Fast Track, a national pride project, has achieved 35% physical progress, as reported by the Nepal Army.

During an event marking the breakthrough of the Ghattepakha-Dhedre tunnel section, the Nepal Army highlighted that the 1.728 km long tunnel at Bakaiya Rural Municipality-12, Makwanpur, was completed on Tuesday.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, and ambassadors from China and South Korea.

The Nepal Army confirmed that the track will be ready for vehicular use by the end of the year 2081 BS.
