Minister Bhandari for structural reforms of Food Corporation

KATHMANDU: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, has directed for structural reform of the Food Management and Trade Company Limited.

Minister Bhandari along with Secretaries– Krishna Kumar Raut and Dinesh Kumar Ghimire reached the Company for a monitoring today and urged the authorities for the same.

“It is state-owned organisation. It should serve the people competing with the private sector. Employees should perform honestly and employees who do not want to work should leave”, he said.

Minister Bhandari showed interest in resolving legal problems existing after merger of the then Nepal Food Corporation and National Trading Limited.

The Minister also directed the Company for the production of Nepali goods and its marketing, said Minister Bhandari’s Private Secretary, Ananda Prasad Bhatta.
