JC recommends appointment and transfer of 12 District and High Court judges



KATHMANDU: The Judicial Council (JC), in its meeting chaired by Chief Justice Bishwombhar Prasad Shrestha, has made recommendations, calling for the appointment and transfer of a total of 12 judges from both the High Court and District Courts.

For the High Court, the JC has proposed the transfer of three judges.

Rameshwar Regmi from High Court Surkhet has been recommended for a transfer to Patan High Court, while Kazi Bahadur Rai from High Court Surkhet is slated for relocation to Ilam Bench of High Court Biratnagar.

Additionally, Bishnu Prasad Aryal from High Court Tulsipur Butwal bench has been suggested to work in High Court Tulsipur.

Furthermore, six District Court judges are on the list for transfers.

Rishiram Acharya from District Court Kaski has been recommended to move to District Court Lalitpur, Hari Prasad Koirala from District Court Sunsari has been proposed for a transfer to District Court Kaski, and Avni Mainali Bhattarai from District Court Kaski has been recommended to move to District Court Makwanpur.

Similarly, Pramesh Pokharel of Tehrathum District Court has been recommended for a transfer to District Court Parsa, Tej Bahadur Khadka from Rautahat District Court has been recommended for relocation to Jhapa District Court, and Bhim Bahadur Niraula from Jhapa District Court has been proposed to be transferred to Tehrathum District Court.

Likewise, several district judges are also part of the recommendations, with Jairam Dhakal from Dadeldhura District Court suggested for a posting at District Court Chitwan.

Additionally, Baburam Subedi from District Court Nawalpur is proposed to work at District Court Morang, Kul Prasad Pandey Pandey from Dang District Court has been recommended for transfer to Nawalpur District Court.

Meanwhile, Harka Bahadur Chhetri, currently the District Judge of Baitadi District Court, has been recommended to assume the role of District Judge in Dadeldhura.
