Two killed in Jajarkot jeep accident



JAJARKOT: Two people were killed in a jeep accident in Jajarkot last night.

The incident occurred at Nuwagaon, Bheri Municipality-10, along the Mid-Hill Highway. The jeep fell approximately 700 feet off the road.

According to the Jajarkot District Police Office, the Bolero jeep crashed while traveling from Karki Gaon to Kudu, both within Bheri Municipality.

Police Inspector Hariram Dangi, the Information Officer of the District Police Office, confirmed that the two victims were 24-year-old Manoj KC, the driver from Kailali, and 23-year-old Mithum Hamal from Jumla.

Hamal, KC, and Kamal Chaudhary, who were seriously injured in the accident, were taken to Jajarkot District Hospital for treatment.

Doctors at the hospital declared Hamal and KC dead. Chaudhary’s treatment is ongoing.

Chaudhary was referred to Nepalgunj Medical College for further treatment after receiving initial care at the district hospital.

The victims were laborers working on the Mid-Hill Highway in Bheri Municipality-7, Syauli Bazaar.
