Relief amount provided at survivors’ doorstep



MALEKHU: The families which lost kin in the floods and landslides occurred last week have been provided relief amount at their doorsteps.

Shyam Kumar Chepang and Shant Bahadur Chepang from Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-6 of Dhading district were buried in the cave while they were avoiding rains.

Similarly, Kanchra Rai from Thakre Rural Municipality-6 was buried in a landslide while.

A team including Assistant Chief District Officer Yuvraj Aryal of District Administration Office Dhading went to the house of the three deceased persons and provided monetary assistance as a relief to the bereaved families.

Assistant CDO Aryal said that the money was distributed to the families of the disaster victims based on the standards set by the government. Each bereaved family got Rs 200,000 each.
