KATHMANDU: Most Nepali students affected by the ongoing student movement in Bangladesh have returned home, according to the Nepali Embassy in Dhaka.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Embassy confirmed that as many as 400 Nepali students currently in Bangladesh are safe.

“Most of the Nepali students studying in Bangladesh have returned to Nepal. All Nepalis, including the remaining 400 students, are safe, and the Embassy is in constant contact with them,” the statement read.

The Embassy has urged Nepalis to stay safe and exercise maximum vigilance in their current locations.

Students who wish to return to Nepal or Nepalis who are in trouble have been asked to contact the embassy’s Second Secretary Yojana Bomjan or Riya Chhetri.
