Monsoon impact across Nepal, thunderstorms likely



KATHMANDU: The monsoon is currently impacting Nepal, leading to widespread weather changes across the country.

In various regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, there are reports of light to moderate rainfall.

This afternoon, most parts of Nepal will experience cloudy skies with a chance of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in several areas across all provinces.

Heavy rainfall is also anticipated in isolated spots of the Koshi and Lumbini provinces.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain generally to completely cloudy nationwide.

Many areas throughout the provinces may experience light to moderate rain with thunderstorms.

There is a potential for heavy to very heavy rainfall in a few locations within the Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in one or two places in the remaining provinces.
