PADT objects to Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd’s notice related to filming Ganga Aarati



KATHMANDU: The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has raised objections to a notice issued by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd, which prohibits the filming of the ‘Ganga Aarati’ ritual along the Bagmati riverbank at the Pashupatinath Aryaghat area and the lighting of lamps in the core area.

Laxmi Pun, the Executive Director of the PADT Managing Council, expressed the PADT’s serious concerns regarding the notice released by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd.

“The act of filming the Ganga Aarati at the Bagmati riverbank in the Pashupatinath Aryaghat area and capturing the lighting of lamps in the core area is strictly forbidden. We want to notify that if any video content captured here is used for commercial purposes on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, actions will be taken in compliance with the Digital Copyright Act,” states the notice issued by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd.

Furthermore, PADT disapproved of the Pvt Ltd’s use of the PADT logo and name in the notice. It emphasized that PADT has no association whatsoever with the notice circulated by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd.
