The Nepali month of Asoj is considered ideal for trekking and exploring various attractions in Nepal.

Data from the Tourist Information Centre reveals that 2,765 tourists from 74 different countries visited Manang during the month of Bhadau (August 17 to September 16).

Among them, the largest group was from Israel, with 597 visitors, followed closely by 327 tourists from China.

Binod Gurung, Chairperson of the Tourism Entrepreneur Committee in Manang, stated, “Asoj is the perfect month for trekking, which has led to an increase in tourist arrivals.”

Usha Lama, a tourism entrepreneur from Chame rural municipality-5, noted that favorable weather conditions have contributed to the surge in visitors.

“The rising number of tourists excites us,” she remarked. Many visitors this season are trekking to Tilicho Lake.

The Annapurna Area Conservation Office, part of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), has advised tourists to plan their trips carefully, as weather conditions in the Himalayan region can be unpredictable.
