Death toll from recent floods and landslides reaches 233



KATHMANDU: The death toll from last week’s floods and landslides triggered by continuous rainfall in Nepal has risen to 233, with 22 people still reported missing.

According to Nepal Police, 169 individuals have been injured in the disaster, and 17,120 people have been rescued from affected areas so far.

Authorities are working to clear blocked roads caused by the floods and landslides across various parts of the country.

Police have advised those planning long trips to contact the relevant district police office for updates before traveling.

The government has also provided emergency relief materials, including food, to the flood victims, while the injured are receiving free medical treatment.
