Committee recommends measures to combat monkey menace in agriculture sector



KATHMANDU: The committee formed to address the growing issue of monkey menace in the agriculture sector has submitted its report to the government.

The committee, established on Baishak 26 and coordinated by Bedh Kumar Dhakal, the Deputy Director of the Department of National Park and Wildlife Conservation, has put forward several key recommendations.

Here are the main suggestions presented by the committee:

Send monkeys as gifts to friendly nations

Allocating a sufficient budget to control the monkey menace.

Declaring monkeys as agricultural pests.

Mobilizing security personnel and agricultural guards.
