CM Singh vows industrial development in Madhesh Province



JANAKPUR: Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, Satish Kumar Singh, has pledged support for industrial development in the region.

Speaking at a meeting with a delegation from the FNCCI Province chapter, CM Singh assured that the provincial government is committed to encouraging businesspersons to advance industrial and trade developments.

CM Singh mentioned that the provincial government is considering the announcement of the Bara-Parsa industrial corridor and is currently in discussions with relevant stakeholders.

He emphasized the importance of timely coordination with the federal government based on need and highlighted efforts to produce skilled and competent human resources for the industry.

“It is evident that Nepal’s cement factories are yet to be competitive internationally,” he acknowledged, also noting that some cement factories have failed to pay taxes.

The provincial government is also contemplating the implementation of e-governance and emphasized the need for cooperation from various sectors.

The delegation informed CM Singh about the challenges and potential of agriculture, tourism, and industries for prosperity in Madhesh Province.
