PM Dahal highlights historic initiatives for labour rights and financial justice



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has hailed the government’s groundbreaking efforts to safeguard the rights of Nepali laborers both domestically and internationally, alongside dismantling exploitative lending practices.

During the submission of the Annual Report of the Government of Nepal for the Fiscal Year 2079/80 to the President today, PM Dahal underscored the government’s significant strides in establishing benchmarks for good governance.

He emphasized the end of long queues for essential services like citizenship, passport, and licenses, signifying the administration’s commitment to streamlining service delivery for citizens.

Moreover, PM Dahal highlighted the government’s success in ensuring timely distribution of school textbooks and averting fertilizer shortages for farmers during crop cultivation.

The Prime Minister also emphasized the expedited formulation of laws to uphold fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution and institutionalize federalism.

Furthermore, PM Dahal lauded the conduct of free and fair elections for the House of Representatives and Province Assembly, aiming to bolster federal democratic governance.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to decentralize financial management and governance rights as per the political resolution, aiming to bring government services closer to the people.

PM Dahal concluded by outlining the positive economic indicators signaling the country’s revival and stressed the need for increased investment, productivity, and employment to achieve the goals of prosperity, good governance, and social justice.
