Federal Parliament adopts electronic attendance system from February 5

KATHMANDU: In a move toward modernization and digitalization, the federal parliament is slated to launch an electronic attendance system for lawmakers starting from February 5.

The Parliament Secretariat has declared that electronic attendance will become mandatory from Monday.

The winter session of parliament commences on the same day.

To facilitate this transition, four machines have been strategically installed for the purpose of electronic attendance.

This innovative approach aims to streamline and modernize the attendance tracking process within the parliamentary setting.

A distinct system has been introduced to cater to the specific attendance requirements of key figures, including the Prime Minister, the leader of the main opposition party, and former Prime Ministers.
