Three Star Club set to clash with Tribhuvan Army Club in Aaha Rara Gold Cup Final today



KASKI: The much-anticipated final match of the Aaha Rara Gold Cup, a prestigious football tournament in the mofussil region, is scheduled to take place in Pokhara on Saturday.

In the showdown for the trophy of the 23rd edition of the Aaha Rara Gold Cup, Departmental Tribhuvan Army Club and Three Star Club will vie for football glory.

Despite reaching the final on four occasions, Tribhuvan Army Club has yet to secure a victory. This marks their fifth appearance in the Aaha Rara Gold Cup final.

In contrast, Three Star Club, having already clinched the title five times, is determined to add a sixth victory to its tally.

The two teams had previously faced each other in the Aaha Rara Gold Cup final of 2075 BS, with Three Star emerging victorious.

Tribhuvan Army Club has reached the final match four times in the past, including in 2065 BS, 2066 BS, 2072 BS, and 2075 BS.

The winner of the final will be awarded Rs 1,201,000 in cash along with the trophy, while the first runner-up will receive Rs 601,000 and a trophy, as confirmed by Sahara Club’s Chairman Keshav Raj Baral.

A total of 12 teams, including one international team, participated in the 23rd edition of the Aaha Rara Gold Cup.
