KATHMANDU: The government has declared a public holiday on Sunday, August 4, to mark the Bhoto Jatra festival.

In a press statement issued on Friday, the Ministry of Home Affairs announced that the public holiday will apply to all three districts of the Kathmandu Valley: Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur.

The Bhoto Jatra celebration will include the Bhoto exhibition of Rato Machindranath, scheduled to take place on Sunday.
