MYAGDI: The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) has experienced an unprecedented influx of tourists this season.

A significant number of domestic visitors have traveled to the ABC at Narchyang in Annapurna Rural Municipality-4 in the Myagdi district during the festive period.

Ten Gurung, a campaigner for the trekking route, reported that approximately 3,000 visitors have arrived since the start of the Dashain vacation.

He noted that both domestic and international tourists have flocked to the base camp, with around 300 currently residing there since Wednesday.

Members of expedition teams are ascending the 8,091-meter Annapurna I peak from the North Base Camp.

The trail’s stunning attractions, including the eye-catching Panchakunda Lake, beautiful waterfalls, and rich biodiversity, draw many trekkers.

To support this growing tourism, the rural municipality has developed a comprehensive tourism master plan aimed at enhancing the infrastructure and services at Annapurna Base Camp.

A budget has been allocated based on this master plan to ensure an improved experience for visitors.
