KALAIYA: A committee has been formed to manage the Gadhimai fair which is held in the district every five year.
A 111-member committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Mayor of Gadhimai municipality, Upendra Yadav, in order to conduct the fair in a civilized and grand manner.
The vice-chairs of the committee are Manoj Kumar Gupta, Ramchandra Prasad Sah, Rambabu Prasad Yadav and Kalaish Mahato.
Similarly, general secretaries of the management committee are Birendra Prasad Jaiswal, Upendra Prasad Gupta, while secretaries are Umarawati Devi Laherin and Nitu Kumari Gupta.
Birendra Prasad Chaurasiya is picked as treasurer. The members of the committee have the representatives from all political parties, and chiefs and deputy chiefs of 16 municipalities.
The Gadhimai fair is a huge cultural festival which is visited by the people from different countries of Asia.
