Supreme Court’s Annual Report Submitted to President



KATHMANDU: Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Prakash Man Singh Raut has submitted the report of the Supreme Court, Judicial Council and Judicial Service Commission for the fiscal year 2081/082 to President Ramchandra Paudel.

Chief Justice Raut submitted the report at a program organized at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas today.

On the occasion, President Paudel suggested that the administration of justice should be made fast, efficient, accessible and accountable towards the people to realize the judicial mantra of equality before the Constitution and the law and equal protection for all, which can also strengthen people’s trust and confidence in the judiciary.

He stated that the use of information technology is exemplary in promoting efficiency and transparency in the entire judicial process from case registration to the implementation of judgments.

The President also expressed the belief that the leadership of the judiciary would focus on effectively addressing the important suggestions and issues raised in various reports and take appropriate steps to strengthen judicial independence and judicial accountability.
