Cooperative victims take to streets with masks and tape over their mouths (Photos)

KATHMANDU: Victims of cooperative fraud from across the country on Thursday staged a protest in Kathmandu, highlighting their frustration with the government’s lack of action.

The protesters, who were expressing their dissatisfaction with the slow implementation of a resolution agreement that has been pending for 65 days, formed a human chain and marched through the city streets.

The demonstration, organized by the Cooperative Savings Protection National Campaign, began at Ratnapark in Kathmandu.

The group then proceeded to Tundikhel, passing through Maitighar, to increase visibility and pressure on the government.

Many of the protesters were seen with masks and tape over their mouths, symbolizing their sense of being ignored and silenced by the authorities.
