Nepal A clinches thrilling victory over Ireland Wolves in third T20 match



KATHMANDU: Nepal A secured a thrilling 3-run victory over Ireland Wolves in the third and final T20 practice match.

Nepal set a winning target of 214 runs, losing seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Ireland Wolves, chasing the target, managed to score only 210 runs, losing 7 wickets.

Bipin Khatri took 3 wickets for Nepal, while Kamal Singh Airee, Narayan Joshi, and Rasid Khan claimed one wicket each.

Earlier, Nepal, having lost the toss and opted to bat first, posted a total of 213 runs, losing seven wickets in 20 overs.

For Nepal, Aarif Sheikh played a splendid innings, scoring an impressive 93 runs off 47 balls, including 7 fours and 6 sixes.

Rasid Khan contributed 24 runs, while Kamal Singh Airee added 19 runs.

Opener Lokesh Bam was dismissed for 8 runs, Dev Khadka for 6, and Binod Bhandari for 11.

Basir Ahmad was not out at 19, while Pawan Sarraf scored 13 runs and Narayan Joshi added 1 run.

For Ireland Wolves, Finn Handley took 2 wickets, Liam MacCarthy, Matthew Foster, Gareth Delany, and Gavin Hoey took 1 wicket each.

On the batting front, Gareth Delany scored 68 runs for Ireland Wolves, while Morgan Topping was out for 60 runs.

With this win, Nepal A clinched the three-match T20 series 2-1.

Nepal had lost the first two matches by 21 runs and 40 runs respectively.

Now, there will also be a One-Day series between Ireland Wolves and Nepal A.
