KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Purna Bahadur Khadka, has asserted that the ruling coalition will remain stable for up to five years.

Speaking to reporters after Friday’s meeting of the House of Representatives, DPM Khadka assured that the ruling coalition would address the various issues that have surfaced recently and maintain its unity.

“If any issues arise, we will resolve them internally through discussions,” he stated.

DPM Khadka, who is also a Vice-President of the ruling Nepali Congress, emphasized that the coalition has not contemplated the possibility of breaking up. Furthermore, he suggested a candidate for the position of the National Assembly Chairperson.

The two key partners of the ruling coalition, Nepali Congress, and CPN-Maoist Center, have been engaged in discussions about filing their candidacy for the position of National Assembly Chairman.
