Ruling coalition remains stable: NC President Deuba

CHITWAN: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has asserted the stability of the ruling coalition, stating that there are no issues within the alliance.

During the inauguration ceremony of Visit Bharatpur-2024, former Prime Minister Deuba briefly spoke with journalists at the airport, underscoring the coalition’s continuity.

He clarified that there are no problems among the coalition partners, dispelling speculations about issues related to the election of the National Assembly Chairman.

The NC President emphasized that any concerns would be addressed through discussions in the coalition’s meeting, highlighting that NC alone cannot secure support for the Chairman’s post.

Accompanying Deuba, former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal and former head of the Council of Ministers Khilraj Regmi arrived in Chitwan for the inauguration program.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal came to Chitwan on Thursday, while another former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chair KP Oli is scheduled to arrive for the inauguration on Friday afternoon.
