Chinese leaders reach Parisdanda after PM’s residence in Baluwatar



KATHMANDU: The leaders of the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, who are visiting Nepal, have reached Parisdanda, the headquarters of the CPN-Maoist Center after meeting Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ at the latter’s official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday.

According to Maoist Center sources, the 14-member team led by Sichuan Party Secretary Wang Xiaohui had a courtesy meeting with the Maoist Center leaders at the headquarters.

“There was a discussion on further expansion and strengthening of relations between the two parties,” the source said, adding, “The leaders also discussed expansion and the strengthen the relationship between the governments of the two countries the people-to-people relations.”

Maoist Center vice chairman Krishna Bahadur Mahara, General Secretary Dev Gurung, and other leaders were present at the meeting.

The meeting held by the high-level team of the Chinese Communist Party before Prime Minister Dahal’s visit to India has been viewed meaningfully in political circles.
PM Dahal left for India at 1.30 pm.
