Police refuse to register complaint against RSP chair Lamichhane

KATHMANDU: The police refused to register the complaint against Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

According to sources, advocate Yuvraj Paudel ‘Safal’ reached to Kathmandu Police Office on Tuesday requesting the police to file a case against former Home Minister Lamichhane on allegations of presenting fraud document to receive passport.

However, the police refused to file the case citing that the full text of the Supreme Court’s verdict on Lamichhane’s citizenship dispute has not made public yet.

Safal also tried to lodge complaint against Lamichhane at the Department of Immigration seeking the latter’s action against Lamichhane for submitting fake information and false documents to get passport.
