Madhav Nepal submits memorandum to PM Dahal; asks for improving country’s economy



KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and urged him to take immediate steps to solve the country’s economic crisis.

Presenting a memorandum to Prime Minister Dahal this morning, the party drew attention to the fact that due to the economic crisis, the lives of ordinary people, including farmers, and small and medium businessmen, have become difficult.

According to the party, the skyrocketing market price and economic difficulty are also some instances of suicides that have been occurring lately.

In the memorandum signed by Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, it is written, “Make necessary arrangements to solve the economic crisis of the country.”

Therefore, the Unified Socialist has urged the government to take immediate short-term and long-term measures to improve the country’s economy.

The party has also demanded strict implementation of the economic policy mentioned in the Constitution, control of inflation, facilities to pay fines and taxes for troubled industries and businesses, and extension of the installment and interest payment period of overdue loans.
