MFD predicts rainfall in four provinces, including Bagmati

KATHMANDU: As the country witnesses a partial influence of monsoon winds, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has forecast the chances of rainfall in some provinces.

According to the Division, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning occurring in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Madhesh, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces today afternoon.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division stated that these provinces will experience varying degrees of rainfall, ranging from partial to moderate.

Meanwhile, today afternoon, some hilly areas of the country are expected to receive light to moderate rain, accompanied by partial to moderate showers.

During the night, there is an expectation of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in certain areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
