PM Oli urges collective efforts to combat dengue

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli has called upon all segments of society to mobilize efforts against dengue.

In a video message issued today, he underscored the necessity of collaborative action as dengue continues to impact various districts across the nation.

The Prime Minister urged the active involvement of relevant agencies, civil servants, security personnel, educational institutions, social activists, and community members in a nationwide ‘Search and Destroy’ campaign, scheduled for every Friday at 10:00 a.m.

He pointed out that effectively controlling dengue-carrying mosquitoes involves identifying and eliminating their breeding sites, particularly areas where water collects.

He emphasized the critical task of eradicating mosquito larvae and pupae in these locations.

“To build a prosperous Nepal, we must ensure the health of our citizens. Thus, I encourage everyone to play their part in making this dengue control initiative a success,” the Prime Minister remarked in his message.
