Govt to carry out feasibility study for cannabis farming



KATHMANDU: The government is going to carry out a feasibility study of cannabis farming for medicinal use.

This was announced in the budget statement read out by Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat at the federal parliament today.

Dr Mahat presented the annual estimate (budget) of revenue and expenditure for the financial year 2080/81.

On the occasion, he said that funds have been allocated to carry out feasibility of cannabis farming for medical purposes in the new financial year.
