Finance Minister announces abolishment of 20 institutions to minimize general expenses



KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has put forward various proposals to minimize the government’s general expenditure.

He announced the dissolution of 20 government-owned institutions in a bid to minimize expenditure.

The Minister of Finance said that the bodies with the same nature of work will be merged.

According to him, the various tourism promotion and development committees that are operated and arranged by the provincial and local levels based on jurisdiction will be transferred to the respective levels and dissolved.
