Arrested Chinese nationals chant slogans against police



KATHMANDU: The Chinese nationals arrested for cybercrime chanted slogans against the police administration in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

The Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested 19 people for committing cybercrimes by opening offices in Mahadevkhola and Chandol in Kathmandu. Nine of those arrested were Chinese nationals.

Chinese citizens protested when the police held a press conference on Wednesday and announced the arrest of Chinese nationals to the media.

The Chinese not only shouted slogans on the premises of the Valley Crime Investigation Office, Baneshwor, but also protested lying down on the office premises.

They even harassed the media while taking photographs.
