KATHMANDU: On Saturday, all government websites of Nepal government were down at once. The websites under “gov.np” under the Government of Nepal were down at once.
Problems were also seen in the websites of all government institutions and departments including government ministries, departments, and authorities.
The websites of Nepal Telecom, Ncell and Broadband Internet also did not open.
When surfing the Nepal government’s websites with gov.np domain one could see “This site can’t be reached” notice.
“When the prime minister’s office came to know about this, he informed that work is being done to solve this problem. The Prime Minister’s technical team is working on this. It has been down for some time due to technical reasons. It will resume soon,” said Prime Minister’s press coordinator Suryakiran Sharma.
However, he did not reveal the problem identified by the technical team.
The issue prevailed for few hours on Saturday afternoon.
