Police HQ issues 7-day ultimatum for 21 ‘absent’ police personnel

KATHMANDU: The Police Headquarters has issued a directive to 26 police personnel who have remained out of contact for over a month, urging them to report within the next seven days.

The Office of the Inspector General of Police released an official notice, revealing that among the absentees are one police senior constable, five police assistant constables, 13 police constables, and 2 police office assistants.

Despite efforts to locate and reach out to these personnel, they remain unresponsive.

Consequently, the police headquarters has officially instructed them to establish contact and provide an explanation within the stipulated seven-day period.

The police head office has issued a stern warning, indicating that failure to comply within the designated time frame may result in their removal from service, in accordance with police regulations.
