KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has witnessed a double-digit growth of 17.70 on the second trading day of the week.
The stock market which fell to 1864.91 points in intra-day trading, closed above 1900 points after increasing in the last hour of the trading on Monday. The market closed at 1906 points.
Apart from microfinance, NEPSE has also increased due to the increase in the sub-index. The microfinance sub-index declined by 0.51 percent due to the decline in the share price of microfinance companies after the Nepal Rastra Bank’s restriction on the proposed dividend of microfinance companies.
While the manufacturing sub-index increased by 2.35 percent, the life insurance, finance company, and development bank sub-index also increased by more than 2 percent.
Along with NEPSE, the transaction amount also improved today. The market which had a turnover of 1.28 billion rupees on Sunday had a turnover worth 1.38 billion rupees today.
